Convenor: Christopher Nathan

What next for egalitarianism? In the last few decades, a sophisticated and voluminous literature on the subject has emerged. That literature is now increasingly coming into contact with other lines of debate. This panel aims to extend that interaction, and to bring together work on the next moves in thinking about equality. Papers are welcome in three areas. First, theoretical issues that challenge, or ground, our thinking about equality. Second, applications of theoretical issues in equality to practical questions in political theory. Third, discussions of neglected ways in which the value of equality might be reconceived. Abstracts of no more than 500 words should be sent to Christopher Nathan ( by 17th June 2011.
